Kansas DOT Opens Spring 2026 Applications for $6 Million Cost Share Program | KCLY Radio Whats for Dinner Wednesdays The Recipes Whats for Dinner Wednesdays The Recipes Kansas DOT Opens Spring 2026 Applications for $6 Million Cost Share Program The Kansas Department of Transportation is now accepting applications for the spring 2026 round of its Cost Share Program.
Since 2019, the program has provided more than $163 million to communities across Kansas. The program helps local governments pay for transportation projects that improve safety, stretch state funds, and boost investments in both rural and urban areas. This is the 13th round of projects to receive funding.
All types of transportation projects are eligible, including roads, rail, airports, bicycle and pedestrian paths, and public transit. Projects must provide transportation benefits and not qualify for other KDOT programs. The total budget for this round is $6 million, with a maximum of $1 million available per project.
Applications must be submitted online by March 26. A sample PDF application is available for preview. More information and the application link are on KDOT’s website: KDOT Cost Share Program .
