Keep It Local Business Fund | NAACP The NAACP and the Nextdoor Kind Foundation will award 20 U.S. small business owners of color microgrants from the Keep It Local Business Fund, in partnership with Hello Alice. The grant program previously awarded a total of $100,000 in microgrants to entrepreneurs, enabling them to help strengthen and support communities at a local level.
This is the first phase of the Foundation's commitment to providing local grants to help neighbors strengthen their local communities. The hope is that these microgrants light a spark within recipients to drive change in their community and inspire similar efforts in communities around the world — ultimately creating a movement of kindness rising.
One-time $5,000 grant to support your small business Public recognition for your contributions to your community Participation in 1-2 events with your fellow winners to share your successes and lessons learned Ad credits to promote your local business on the Nextdoor Platform Access to trainings on how to thrive as a small business, including Nextdoor's Recession Playbook Black families must have equal opportunity to create generational wealth if we are going to achieve true racial equity.
