KidSport British Columbia Provincial Fund is a grant from KidSport British Columbia that funds sport registration fees for children from low-income families in BC. Awards of up to $400 per child per calendar year help cover organized sport registration costs. Eligibility is based on Statistics Canada Low-Income Cut-off (LICO) guidelines, and children must be 18 years or younger and registered in an eligible organized sport.
Families apply through local KidSport chapters or the provincial fund when no local chapter is available. The program is dedicated to ensuring financial circumstances do not prevent BC children from accessing the physical, social, and personal development benefits of organized sport.
