The Arts Partnership • Saint Paul, Minnesota » Knight Foundation Cultural Opportunity Fund Application Knight Foundation Cultural Opportunity Fund Application PURPOSE: Foster the artistry and growth of local performers and organizations by providing the opportunity to present programming in the Concert Hall at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts with an emphasis on cultural diversity and artistic excellence.
FUNDING: The Fund provides artists and organizations the opportunity to receive a partial or full subsidy towards rent and direct expenses associated with renting the Concert Hall. Funds will be distributed as credits on the engagement’s final settlement statement. Rental information can be found on the Ordway’s venue rental page.
VENUE: The Concert Hall is designed specifically for the presentation of musical concerts, lectures, author readings, and film screenings in a most intimate and beautiful setting. Applicants are encouraged to confirm that your performance would be technically suitable for this venue before applying for this award. Concert Hall technical information can be found here.

* What is the maximum number of people who will be on stage at one time? * The Concert Hall performance platform measures 48′ wide x 32′ deep and is a sprung wooden mahogany floor. There are no wings or fly systems in the Concert Hall.
We encourage a variety of artists to apply; however, the types of dance that are appropriate to the stage are limited. Some production equipment may incur additional rental or labor expenses, all of which will be clearly communicated in the event estimate. Artist use of the Choir Loft (behind/above stage) Drum Equipment (rug/sheild/stool) Note: Lighting fixtures do not move.
Lighting fixtures may be refocused at user expense. 11’x20′ Screen + Projector (eliminates Choir Loft) Specifically Designed (applicant provides LD) What technical support people (lighting designers, stage managers, etc.) will be assisting you, if any? Archival recording of the event is available upon request at no additional cost.
Recording of any kind (photography/audio/video) for the commercial or promotional purposes are possible, but come with significant increased expenses.

All ticketing services are provided by the Ordway. Awardees agree to abide by all ticketing policies including requirement of guests to create Ordway account, use of the Ordway app, and implementation of exclusive ticketing fees charged to the guest.
