Community - The Kroger Co. Caring for Our Communities Kroger has a long history of giving back generously to our communities. We support national and community-based nonprofit agencies by donating nourishing food and charitable funds to serve and strengthen our local neighborhoods.
Through corporate giving and the work of our two nonprofit foundations, Kroger directs more than $300 million annually to our communities. Food is at the heart of every community, and so is Kroger. Our Purpose is To Feed the Human Spirit, and it begins with nourishing the communities we call home.
Our customers count on us for a big weekly shop, a last-minute meal, snacks for the game, favorite foods for family gatherings and more. We offer friendly faces and welcoming places in our local neighborhoods. Kroger also gives back meaningfully to strengthen the cities and towns where we work and live.

Through Kroger Community Rewards, we invite our customers to direct donations to the local charities they care about most. Our customers directed over $46 million in Community Rewards to eligible nonprofits last year.
