Latino Equity Fund Grant is sponsored by Boston Foundation Inc. Provides grants to nonprofit organizations serving the Latinx community in Greater Boston, focusing on housing stability and economic mobility.

Latino Equity Fund FY26 application - TBF The Latino Equity Fund (LEF) at the Boston Foundation is the first and only community fund in Massachusetts dedicated to activating, convening, and supporting the Latinx community in Greater Boston and across the Commonwealth. Established in 2013, LEF serves as a permanent resource to uplift Latinx voices, foster cross-sector partnerships, and advance systemic change.

The Fund works to mobilize Latinx residents, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders toward Nuestro Futuro —Our Future. For the FY26 grant cycle, LEF will award one-time $25,000 grants to 20 Latinx-serving nonprofit organizations within the Boston Foundation’s catchment area .

LEF seeks proposals from community-based nonprofits advancing the well-being and economic mobility of Latinx residents in the following priority areas: Health care access (including, but not limited to: disabilities assistance, HIV prevention, elder care, mental health and well-being, and substance use) Job readiness and career coaching Immigrant/refugee workforce integration Professional credentialing and certification With its grantmaking, LEF strives to catalyze new partnerships, support and expand the capacity of the Latinx nonprofit sector and respond to emerging community needs.

LEF prioritizes supporting Latinx-serving organizations , and organizations that have not previously received funding from TBF/LEF. While we’ve worked to simplify the application process, we recognize and deeply value the time it takes to prepare and submit a request. We encourage you to carefully review our funding priorities and eligibility information to ensure alignment before applying.

The Latino Equity Fund funds within the Boston Foundation’s catchment area which includes: The Latino Equity Fund aims to support truly local organizations.

Accordingly, an applicant must: Be headquartered in the geographic areas listed above Provide the majority of its services in the geographic areas listed above Not maintain offices or provide services outside Massachusetts Not be regional, national, or international (even if based locally) Not be a local office/affiliate of a regional or national organization, unless it has its own EIN All funding requests should focus exclusively on operations within geographic areas listed above.

Priority consideration is given to nonprofits located in the 13 cities and towns identified by the Latino Equity Fund as Latinx hubs. These communities include: Lawrence, Methuen, Haverhill, Salem, Lynn, Saugus, Lowell, Framingham, Waltham, Revere, Chelsea, Boston, and Brockton .

LEF may also give such consideration to organizations that are based elsewhere in the priority geographic area and propose introducing programming or services in one or more of these 13 communities, especially Lawrence and Boston. This RFP is not currently considering requests related to the causes below, although we recognize their value and importance.

The Latino Equity Fund will not typically consider requests for funding from the following: Medical research initiatives Religious activities or organizations whose primary purpose is sectarian Political, legislative, or lobbying efforts Primary or secondary schools that charge significant tuition Large institutions already supported by substantial endowments Organizations that infringe on civil liberties or personal freedoms Entities not classified as public charities under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code National or regional organizations—or their local affiliates—that do not have an independent EIN Organizations that discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ability, or other protected characteristics Municipalities (excluding public schools), with the exception of the 13 Massachusetts communities where the LEF has defined as a Latinx Hub.
