Online submission deadline: The Law Enforcement Training Scholarship Program provides up to $5,000 per recipient to support specialized law enforcement training. Grant funds may be used for non-degree courses and to cover related expenses, including travel, lodging, registration fees, and training materials.
In certain cases, funds may also be used to bring trainers directly to a law enforcement agency. The program is open to all eligible state and local law enforcement agencies in Maryland, including prosecuting agencies. Applications for the Law Enforcement Training Scholarship Program are accepted on a rolling basis but must be submitted at least thirty (30) business days prior to the start of the training.
The Law Enforcement Training Scholarship Program is supported by the Edward J. Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant ( BJAG ). This year-round funding opportunity is available to local and state law enforcement agencies and prosecutorial personnel.
Scholarships are available for up to $5,000 per individual, per course. No matching funds are required.
