Jacksonville’s Scott R. MacKenzie Foundation offers grants for genetic research The Scott R. MacKenzie Foundation is a private foundation qualified under section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code.
It was established for the general purpose of funding initiatives to advance cures for specific diseases through genome research. The Foundation will only consider funding grants to qualified organizations operating in the United States that are qualified tax-exempt organizations with charitable purposes as qualified under section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code.

If your Initial Grant Application is approved for consideration, you will receive a link to download and submit the Final Grant Application which is due by June 30. The Foundation will review and respond to each Final Grant Application. If additional information or clarification is needed, you will be contacted.
During this process, we may ask you to have a representative from your organization make a presentation or may request your organization to provide a facility tour. The Final Grant Application must be submitted by June 30. We welcome any questions during this process.
Once our due diligence is completed, you will be contacted regarding declination or acceptance. If accepted, you will be notified and additional information may be required to facilitate the distribution of funds.
