Our specialized care teams provide personalized, compassionate, expert care to patients of all ages. Informed by basic research done at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate to conduct innovative translational and clinical research that is driving a revolution in our understanding of cancer as a disease and improving the ability to prevent, diagnose, and treat it.
MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who go on to pursue our mission at MSK and around the globe. This is a 12-month post-graduate accredited training program beginning October 19 th , 2026 for Nurse Practitioners ( NPs ) and Physician Assistants ( PAs ) who wish to transition into oncology-based care.
The fellowship provides support and training during the transition to practice period, allowing Advanced Practice Provider (APP) F ellows to build confidence and knowledge in clinical sub-specialties. The program is open to newly graduated APPs (NPs and PAs) , as well as those with prior experience as an APP.
The fellowship is especially well-suited for those looking to gain specialty exposure to oncology and those eager for an immersive learning experience.
Sub-Specialty Tracks Available (please see link at bottom of posting for status of available spots): • Pediatric Hematology/Oncology • Perioperative and Specialized Care • Solid Tumor Medical Oncology • UPDATE: Geriatric Oncology was previously offered but is no longer available for this year **Applications will be reviewed and candidates will be considered for interviews on a rolling basis.

Application Opens: April 6, 2026 Application Closes: June 1, 2026 Fellowship Start Date: October 19, 2026 Fellowship End Date: October 2, 2027 Fellow Clinical Responsibilities Will Include: Gathering a comprehensive patient history Performing a comprehensive physical examination Ordering and analyzing laboratory and diagnostic studies Formulating differential diagnoses, offering rationale for clinical decisions, and implementing treatment plans Evaluating patient response to treatment Coordination of patient care Active participation within the interdisciplinary healthcare team Accurate and complete documentation of patient encounters Participation in didactic learning experiences, including projects and presentations Fellows may be asked to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Average work week is about 50 hours to include clinical learning and protected didactic learning time. You are a highly motivated critical thinker with a strong desire to care for the oncology patient population. You are empathetic, resourceful, communicate well, and enjoy working interprofessionally.
