##### **Program Details** * **Award Amount:**Varies based on the student's cost of attendance and all available resources already awarded to the student. Final award amounts are based on number of students eligible for the program statewide and funding allocated by the State Budget (Exception for Foster Youth). * **Duration:** Available for up to 8 semesters or 12 quarters, depending on student's education level at the time of awarding.
* **Separate Application Required? No**– students will be considered with timely submission of their FAFSA or CADAA.
* **Deadline:**The FAFSA or CADAA must be submitted by the MCS deadline which is typically March 2, but could change for some academic years: * Students attending college between **July 2025 and June 2026:****April 2, 2025** * Students attending college between **July 2024 and June 2025: July 2, 2024** ##### **Eligibility & Requirements** To qualify for the**Middle Class Scholarship**, students must: * Be a California resident attending a University of California (UC), California State University (CSU), or a CA Community College (CCC) Bachelor’s degree program * Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or meet requirements for non-tuition exemption (such as AB 540) * Academic-year specific: Meet income and asset ceilings * Students attending college between **July 2025 and June 2026: up to $234,000** * Students attending college between **July 2024 and June 2025: up to $226,000** * Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards * Not be in default on a student loan or incarcerated > Attention Foster Youth: If you are a current or former foster youth, this award can cover the rest of your school costs (Cost of Attendance) after your own expected contribution and any other free money (like grants or scholarships) are counted.

The National Leadership Grants for Libraries Program (NLG-L) supports projects that address critical needs of the library and archives fields and have the potential to advance practice and strengthen library and archival services for the American public. Successful proposals will generate results such as new models, tools, research findings, services, practices, and/or alliances that can be widely used, adapted, scaled, or replicated to extend and leverage the benefits of federal investment. Applications to IMLS should both advance knowledge and understanding and ensure that the federal investment made generates benefits to society. Specifically, the goals for this program are to generate projects of far-reaching impact that: • Build the workforce and institutional capacity for managing the national information infrastructure and serving the information and education needs of the public. • Build the capacity of libraries and archives to lead and contribute to efforts that improve community well-being and strengthen civic engagement. • Improve the ability of libraries and archives to provide broad access to and use of information and collections with emphasis on collaboration to avoid duplication and maximize reach. • Strengthen the ability of libraries to provide services to affected communities in the event of an emergency or disaster. • Strengthen the ability of libraries, archives, and museums to work collaboratively for the benefit of the communities they serve.
