Workforce Training/Funding Financial assistance is available through the following programs operated by Missouri One Start under the Department of Economic Development and administered by the Moberly Area Community College (MACC) Workforce Development Center. These programs strive to meet the needs for specialized industry training with a goal of keeping Missouri’s workforce competitive.
Companies have several options for achieving their workforce training goals. Training may be provided by the individual company, a private vendor, or a Local Educational Agency such as MACC. For more information on the programs listed below, please email workforcedevelopmentcenter@macc.

Missouri Customized Training Program Financial assistance is available for a variety of training costs, including instructional salaries, curriculum development, and training materials. The program assists eligible companies with training customized to meet their specific needs, as they look to increase productivity, increase quality, introduce new technology, or add new products.
MACC will assist the company with the required application and documentation for this program. Missouri Community College New Jobs Training Program The New Jobs Training Program (NJTP) is for companies that are creating a substantial number of new jobs in Missouri. The program is designed to reduce the financial costs of training employees in newly created jobs.
Training may be provided by the company, a local educational agency or a training vendor. Missouri Community College Job Retention Training Program This program reduces the costs associated with retraining an existing workforce in the State of Missouri. The purpose of this program is to retain jobs in the state of Missouri by providing training assistance.

Students will learn the basic features to produce basic worksheets and charts. Other topic areas covered include formatting, formulas, built-in functions used to design functional worksheets to solve business problems. This is a great refresher course for those who have worked in older versions of excel!
Basic experience with Windows is assumed. Basic Formulas and Functions Geared for: Students wanting to understand basic Excel functions or receive a refresher for Excel. Basic computer experience is assumed.
This course introduces intermediate level features of Microsoft Excel 2019. Students will learn to use relative & absolute reference formulas and functions, manage workbooks using multiple worksheets, create custom templates and use pivot tables effectively. Basic Excel knowledge assumed.
Excel Tables, Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts Managing Multiple Worksheets and Workbooks Geared for: Students with a moderate understanding of Microsoft Excel. This course builds leadership skills based on the needs of your business. Learn how to lead your employees, create an open and healthy environment, and deal with conflict.
Whether you are a new boss, you are starting a new business, or just want to develop your professional skills, this class will help you determine your strengths, and improve your weaknesses. Transformational Leadership Students will be introduced to Microsoft PowerPoint. They will learn how to make a professional presentation and the do’s and don’ts of presentations.
They will learn how to create templates for presentations; how to incorporate graphics, video, and audio effectively; how to use and link Excel tables and charts; and so much more! This is also a great refresher course for those who have worked in PowerPoint before. Basic computer experience is assumed.
Using Graphics, Video, and Audio Using and Linking Charts, Tables, and Objects Protecting & Sharing Presentations Geared for: Those who would like to learn about PowerPoint or who would like to learn tips and tricks in PowerPoint. Tips, Tricks, and Useful tools in Microsoft Word This class is designed to give an overview of the different functionalities of the ribbons in Microsoft Word and applying them to real life scenarios.
It will also provide step-by-step instruction on Mail Merges and Fillable forms. Functionality of all Ribbons Geared for: Students with little to no understanding of Microsoft Word. This course will build your program skills, and enhance your professional life.
Basic computer skills assumed. Types of Customer Service Dealing with Difficult People Geared for: Employers and employees working in the customer service field.

The Homeless Youth Program is a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services that funds services for homeless and at-risk youth across Illinois.
