The Department of War (DOW) has developed advanced near-hypersonic and hypersonic systems; however, significant challenges in affordability and scalable production capacity exist. MACH-XL serves as a pathfinder initiative to address affordability and producibility challenges by conducting focused testing and demonstrations.
Through early validation and prototyping, it aims to identify cost-effective solutions, reduce risk in production approaches, and establish a foundation for scalable, manufacturable designs. MACH-XL is specifically pursuing solutions for Near-Hypersonic & Hypersonic all-up-rounds (AURs) (Task Area 1) and Flexible Launcher Platforms (Task Area 2). **Please visit the S2MARTS website at**https://s2marts.
