30, 2025. Without reauthorization or extension of the SBIR and STTR program authority, NASA cannot release new SBIR/STTR solicitations nor fund any new SBIR/STTR awards. Awards made prior to Sept.
30, 2025, will not be impacted. We are actively tracking the progress of program authorization in Congress and, during the program authorization lapse, we will continue nominal operations, including the administration of ongoing contracts. We will resume the release of any new solicitations and the funding of new awards when the program is reauthorized.
This is an evolving situation, and we will update this page with additional information and resources as they become available. The 2025 SBIR Phase II solicitation is delayed. The due date for proposals will be defined in the solicitation and will not be dependent on the end date of the 2025 SBIR Phase I contract.
The NASA Small Business Innovation Research / Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) program is part of America’s Seed Fund, the nation’s largest source of early-stage non-dilutive funding for innovative technologies.
Through this program, entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses with less than 500 employees can receive funding and non-monetary support to build, mature, and commercialize their technologies, advancing NASA missions and helping solve important problems facing our country. The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 2 is soliciting applications for projects that address the 2010 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rebuy (4Rs) in Schools Program goals from applicants carrying out or desiring to carry out projects that serve EPA Region 2: New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands. The Healthy Communities Grant Program is seeking projects that: Target resources to benefit communities at risk (environmental justice areas of potential concern, places with high risk from toxic air pollution, urban areas) and sensitive populations (e.g. children, elderly, others at increased risk). Assess, understand, and reduce environmental and human health risks. Increase collaboration through community-based projects. Proposed projects must: (1) Be located in and/or directly benefit one or more of the three Target Investment Areas which include: Environmental Justice Areas of Potential Concern, Sensitive Populations, and/or Urban Areas in one or more of the EPA Region I States of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and/or Vermont; and (2) Identify how the proposed project will achieve measurable environmental and/or public health results in one or more of the five Target Program Areas which include Asthma, Capacity Building on Environmental and Public Health Issues, Healthy Indoor/Outdoor Environments, Healthy Schools, Urban Natural Resources.
