Skip to primary navigation Owners/Operators/ Managers of restaurants, hotels, taverns, or hospitality-related businesses in good standing can submit a request on behalf of an employee experiencing an extraordinary financial hardship due to circumstances outside of their control.
With the approval of the business owner/operator, managers may apply for qualified individuals (Applications may not be submitted by the employee themselves). The owner/operator/manager of the hospitality business should submit the request through this form.
The required information is: Owner/ Operator/ Manager’s Official Title & Position Company Email & Phone Number Employee address, phone number, email address Employee’s official title DETAILED description of the need for assistance – reason and amount An employee must be experiencing or have been facing a financial hardship due to circumstances outside of their control.
(*Time lost due to COVID or temporary business closures are not a qualifying hardship) Employees must live and/or work in North Carolina. Employees must be employed for at least 90 days prior to the request being submitted. The NCRLA Foundation is governed by a board of trustees who lead the foundation and guide its work.
This foundation will appoint a committee to review and approve/deny applications based on the following criteria: level of need and employment standing. Once the committee makes the determination, a confirmation notice will be sent to the employer making the request on behalf of their employee. A notification letter along with an assistance check will be mailed to the address provided on the application.
The NC Hospitality Workers Relief Fund does NOT guarantee assistance upon completion of a request, aid due to unemployment, or due to loss of hours or income not directly caused by a qualifying crisis. WHEN WILL THE FUNDS BE AVAILABLE? The goal of the NC Hospitality Workers Relief Fund is to provide immediate financial assistance to our industry’s dedicated workers in the face of extraordinary hardship.
