NYS Grown and Certified Grant Program NYS Grown & Certified ITRD Grant Program Round One of the Information and Technology grant program received 262 applications from across the state requesting more than $34 million dollars. Following a rigorous review process, $8. 5 million has been awarded to 69 New York farms and food businesses.
NYFVI would like to thank all the applicants for their dedication to bringing NYS Grown & Certified products to market, and to the many grant reviewers who contributed their time and energy to this project. We will be sharing more information about the characteristics of competitive proposals and some common best practices before the next RFP is released.
Infrastructure & Technology Grant Program The next Infrastructure & Technology RFP is expected to be released in early 2026. The program will continue to seek proposals from farm and food businesses that are participating in the NYS Grown & Certified program. Potential applicants are encouraged to review the information and resources provided for the first round here .
While the program will evolve, all applicants should be able to provide a clear financial case for how the assets purchased with the grant funds will help them profitably bring NYS Grown & Certified products to market. The list of projects that were awarded funding in the first round of this program will be made available in coming weeks as the administrative process is finalized.
Research & Development Grant Program Also, in support of NYS Grown & Certified farm and food businesses, a second type of RFP is in development. It will allow these businesses to seek funds for research and development projects that will help take food and beverage product ideas to the next step. This program will only be open to current NYS Grown & Certified participants.

The NYS Grown & Certified Infrastructure & Technology grant program is funded through the generous support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.
