Grants NSGP Application Details | Washington State Military Department Nonprofit Security Grant Program The following information is applicable to all potential Washington state applicants interested in applying for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program.
About the Nonprofit Security Grant Program NSGP provides funding support for target hardening and other physical security enhancements and activities to nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of terrorist or other extremist attack. The intent is to integrate nonprofit preparedness activities with broader state and local preparedness efforts.
It is also designed to promote coordination and collaboration in emergency preparedness activities among public and private community representatives, as well as state and local government agencies. Organizations must meet the following eligibility criteria: Be registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or otherwise described under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and tax-exempt under section 501(a) of the IRC.
Demonstrate, through the application, that the organization is at high risk of a terrorist or other extremist attack, and Must complete a Notice of Intent form to have their application considered for funding. * * - Additional Washington state requirement. A NOI must be received by May 31, 2026 to be eligible to submit a full FY26 NSGP application.
