New York State Cybersecurity Assistance Grant and Cybersecurity Assessment Program | NY Manufacturing Extension Partnership New York State Cybersecurity Manufacturing Initiatives Grant Whether it’s due to industry standards, government requirements, an eye towards growth, or a desire to keep your business and client’s information protected, cybersecurity should be on the forefront of the priorities of every manufacturer.
The NYS Cybersecurity Manufacturing Initiatives Grant has been designed to help manufacturers address common cybersecurity needs and issues in a practical and understandable way through in-person assessments by professionals who specialize in working with small and medium manufacturers, as well as to provide funding assistance for both assessment and implementation projects.
Additional resources are available in the form of educational webinars and online training videos for those looking to self-assess. Whether you’re a company of one, or a company of hundreds, the NYS Cybersecurity Manufacturing Initiatives Grant is here for your cybersecurity needs.
NOTE: This grant will operate in 2 phases with Phase 2 funding activating in March 2025: Phase 1 : Cybersecurity Assessments review awarded applicants current state and identify gaps. (starts Oct 2023 ) Phase 2 : Implementation/Remediation of Gaps (starts Mar 2025 ) In-person cybersecurity events This grant also provides access to three in-person events throughout New York State.
Topics will include cybersecurity awareness and implementation of effective cybersecurity practices within your organization.
The planned dates and locations are as follows: SUNY Stony Brook (completed) Mohawk Valley Region (completed) Southern Tier Region (completed) Finger Lakes Region (RIT) for the NYS Cybersecurity Manufacturing Initiatives Grant, applicants must: Be a manufacturer with a valid Manfacturing NAICS code and listing in Dun & Bradstreet Have 500 employees or less Upon selection, sign a contract agreement directly with a service provider approved by the grant administrator (AIM) Expected commitments of awarded applicants Availability for a project scoping call or in person meeting Make management and IT personnel available for site visits, assessment meetings, and report presentations An investment of $1,500 (The remaining project costs will be covered by the grant) Select applicants will be eligible for a grant for a personalized cybersecurity risk assessment.
