Application Process for Grants - Oldham Little Church Foundation FOR FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS To begin, you will create an online account for your church in which you will provide: Church's name, address, city/state, zip, phone number, website, church's email address, and Federal EIN # (see note below if you need assistance obtaining a copy of your church's EIN or 501(c)3 documentation).
Pastor's name, address, city/state, zip, phone number, and email address (A person other than the pastor may be used as the Primary Contact on the account.) STEP #1 - "LETTER OF INQUIRY" OR "LOI" Once the account has been established, an applicant is automatically led to Step 1 of our Two-Step Application called the "Letter of Inquiry" or "LOI".
To ensure a smooth process for yourself, we strongly suggest that you find the tabs for "Preview" and/or "Question List" located near the upper right on your screen. You will see a copy of the LOI and all of the questions contained in it. There are three main sections in the LOI: Church Information, Pastor's Information, and your Project Information (the details of your grant request).
You will also see the exact documents you will be required to attach to your grant request. Gather those documents and keep them handy as you begin the LOI. If you would like to include other persons who are also able to provide information in the LOI, look for the tab "Collaborate" near the upper right of your screen.
You will send them an invitation via email and can choose to allow them to "View", "Edit" or "Submit" information in the LOI. Complete the LOI, answering all required questions and uploading all required documents or photos (indicated by a red *), then scroll to bottom to "Submit LOI". You will be sent an automatic email letting you know that OLCF has received your LOI.
NOTE: If a red box comes up after you "Submit" , it is an indication that something required has been left blank. Scroll back to find the needed information. The LOI is typically reviewed by the OLCF Grants Committee within 30-60 days.
If it appears that the LOI has met the OLCF grants criteria and the project is one that could potentially be considered for a grant award, the LOI will be approved and Step 2 - the "Application" will be open to you through your Applicant Dashboard. Important Note: Acceptance of the LOI is not an approval for a grant award.
Both forms, the LOI and the Application must be completed in order to be presented to our full Board of Directors for consideration. If you would like to create an account and begin Step #1 - the LOI, click here and carefully follow instructions on the next page.
