One SC Fund: Disaster Response Hurricane Helene Response Grants The One SC Fund: Hurricane Helene Response is now accepting grant applications from nonprofits to support Hurricane Helene recovery and rebuilding efforts. It is also currently activated for the Emergency Food Response , and donors can make a donation through the One SC Fund .

Grants from the One SC Fund support nonprofit organizations that provide relief and recovery assistance in South Carolina following state-declared disasters. In coordination with the South Carolina Office of Resilience, an agency of the Governor’s Cabinet, resources received by the fund are directed to communities most in need. Be sure to review all grant proposal guidelines before applying for a Disaster Relief Grant.
The One SC Fund’s process and funding priorities have been refined and include: Grantees will receive funding for a 12-month project (up from 6 months). Requests up to $100K will be accepted (up from $50K) Collaborative, large-scale efforts may request grants exceeding $ 100,000 with prior approval. Contact Edie Blakeslee at [email protected] or 843.
259. 2147 to discuss. The funding focus is recovery, primarily focused on home repairs and related work, as well as Disaster Resilience efforts.
Applications are strongly encouraged from: Organizations collaborating with and taking referrals from SC Office of Resilience’s Common Housing Operating Picture (CHOP) database. These organizations are eligible for grants exceeding $ 100,000 with prior approval.
Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD), Community Organizations Active in Disasters (COAD), or Long-Term Recovery Groups (LTRG) in various stages of growth (or on behalf of these organizations) with projects to build their capacity. The VOADs, COADs, or LTRGs must be located in the 28 counties impacted by Hurricane Helene and/or the Catawba Indian Nation.
Organizations with projects that seek to fill “gaps” that might exist in the disaster recovery ecosystem. This includes crucial disaster recovery services/activities that are not currently being completed or funded in other ways. Organizations currently serving as a referral resource for SC Office of Resilience’s Disaster Case Managers (DCMs).
The One SC Fund seeks to allocate remaining funds by January 15th. Application deadlines are October 15, November 15, and December 15. Individuals are not eligible to apply.

To receive a grant from Central Carolina Community Foundation, all organizations must have the following information readily available. The Foundation may request these documents at any time during the application process and/or after receiving funds.
Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) tax exemption letter OR fiscal sponsorship agreement Charitable registration letter from the South Carolina Secretary of State’s Public Charities Section or a current letter stating that our organization is exempt from registration Vision, Values, and Mission Statement Audited Financial Statements (Form 990) Board of Directors Roster Organizations must have at least one full year of operation at the time of submitting the grant application.
The online application will require your organization to describe: Crisis response efforts to be implemented Geographic area(s) served Number of families/individuals to be served How the families/individuals served will be chosen Federal, state, local, and private funds already applied for and/or received to address the crisis/disaster Projects that are not directly associated with crisis relief or recovery efforts Projects for general or low-priority populations Endowment development or capital campaigns Individuals seeking assistance The One SC Fund does not actively solicit disaster preparation grant applications; however, if you have a project that would prepare your county to respond to future disasters, please contact Edie Blakeslee at [email protected] or at 843.
259. 2147. The project period is twelve (12) months.
Projects ending before twelve months must submit a final report within 30 days of completion. Nonprofits can reapply for funding after they submit their final report. Declinations are sent via email.
All organizations are receiving an award have one year to expense grant funds. After we receive your submission, you will hear from us within 4 weeks on the status of your application. Your original application, grant agreement, and any other documents related to your grant are saved on your organization’s dashboard.
