“Upon arriving at the Foundation, I was immediately struck by the strong sense of community that unites Scholars, Fellows, and Mentors. The unique opportunity to learn across disciplines and sectors is truly inspiring, as evidenced by the rich exchanges that take place during master classes, conferences, and gatherings.
I have discovered that the driving force behind our community members is a sense of optimism, an inclusive attitude, and the courage to lead. ” “The highlight of my experience at the Foundation so far has undoubtedly been learning from the incredible knowledge of the Scholars. Their fresh perspectives on research, public engagement, and dedication to intellectual life have been deeply inspiring.
” “I believe that leadership skills are crucial for having the courage to address difficult issues. In today’s world, there is a lot of polarization and echo chambers. We tend to talk to people we agree with, but we are losing the ability to engage with those we disagree with.
To solve global problems, we need to be inclusive, and to learn inclusivity, we need courage. We need collaboration skills. We need listening skills.
