Preparedness Grant Programs | VDEM Preparedness Grant Programs The Virginia Department of Emergency Management Preparedness Grants Department provides federal funding from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to state, local, tribal and territorial government, as well as nonprofits, to help develop and sustain capabilities in support of efforts to prevent, protect against, respond to, recover from and mitigate terrorism and other high-consequence disasters and emergencies.
FEMA Preparedness Grants include the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) which includes the State Homeland Security Program (SHSP) and the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) programs, Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP), Emergency Management Performance Grant Program (EMPG), State & Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP), Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant Program (RCPGP) and the Emergency Operations Center Grant Program (EOC) https://main--vdem--hlxsites.
