Our partners are survivors, change makers, and researchers working to accelerate action at the community, national, and global levels. There is growing public desire to do more, and we have the knowledge and solutions needed to create a world where all children can thrive. Our grant-making focuses on bringing together: powerful data and solutions; strong accountability mechanisms; and vibrant leaders, organisations, and movements.
We support strategic initiatives and new ideas that build capacity and talent over the long term. To support our partners, we have divided our grant-making into six priority funding areas which overlap and are connected to each other. We strive to work together as a team across these six areas of funding.
While we do not have priority countries across the programme, we prioritise some geographies based on where we see the most opportunity. For example, our grant-making under safe digital environments is concentrated in the UK, EU, and USA, while most of grant-making under justice for survivors is currently focused in the Americas.
Safe digital environments Survivor-led organisations Generating evidence for solutions that work We support efforts that generate evidence to understand the nature of the problem and the most effective and scalable solutions for different contexts.
Preventing child sexual abuse requires multiple strategies that are locally informed, designed, and tested before being scaled up to reach as many children, families, and communities as possible. Building healthy relationships and supporting families We support efforts that build healthy relationships, and work with men and boys as leaders and role models.
Our grant-making focuses on adolescence and transition to fatherhood, two life course moments where men and boys’ relationships change. Creating a digital world designed with the safety of children in mind We support efforts that prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children online. Our grant-making focuses on making technology safe by design and removing child sexual abuse material from digital platforms.
Privacy and child safety can co-exist. This is why we support organisations that develop solutions respecting children’s and survivors’ rights to dignity, privacy, and justice. We also support our grantees to share best practices to achieve their goals.
Safeguarding child elite athletes to protect them from harm We support safeguarding efforts that ensure child elite athletes can safely participate in sports. Our grants also support organisations led by survivors and their allies. Sports must be a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.
Creating environments where survivors feel empowered to come forward We support efforts that create supportive environments that allow survivors to access justice by eliminating legal barriers and improving practices through research and evidence. We believe that bringing justice to survivors can deter child sexual abuse.
Building a world where survivors and allies are central in preventing child sexual abuse We support efforts that increase the capacity of survivor-led groups and their allies to share their stories. Including the voices of survivors is crucial to build urgency around preventing child sexual abuse. We support the work of survivor-led groups and their allies across all of our priority funding areas.
