Foundation Grants: Proposal Development Award | BCBSM Proposal Development Award Many nonprofits don’t have a grant writer on staff or the capacity to hire a contract grant writer to develop and submit health-related grants. This award provides help for nonprofits with funding to contract a grant writer to create and submit health-related grants.
Grant recipient organizations use the funding to apply to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation, Michigan Health Endowment Fund, local community foundations, Health Resources and Services Administration, and other organizations. This award offers up to $3,500. We welcome applications from Michigan-based, nonprofit community organizations.
Award funds are restricted to proposal development costs, such as technical assistance, freelance proposal writers and related proposal development costs. Projects for Proposal Development Award grants are ineligible if: The proposal has already been completed The applicant is a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan employee or an immediate family member of an employee.
Applicants who are employees of any BCBSM affiliate or who are immediate family members also are ineligible We accept applications at any time. We review them to determine the relevance of the project to a health-related issue in Michigan, and the chances of being awarded a grant by the specified funder.
An application must include the following: Completed application form Resume/CV of the Project Director and other key personnel Copy of organization’s mission, history and services Copy of most recent Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) federal tax exemption letter Copy of organization’s most recent tax return or audited financial statement, which includes the organization’s mission, history, and services After we review your application, you will receive an email from a Senior Program Officer about next steps.
