Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) Operations Grant (New York) The New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES), through its Office of Interoperable and Emergency Communications (OIEC), implements a grant program to facilitate the operation of public safety communications to support statewide interoperable communications for first responders.
The Public Safety Answering Points Operations Grant not only supports existing operations, but also encourages the development of Next Generation 911 (NG-911) technologies, assures development of operational and procedural efficiencies and overall collaboration between different jurisdictions, such as other counties and state agencies.
