Grant Eligibility - Quantum Foundation Our grants fall into two main categories: Regular grants are for organizations with programs that align with one or more of our three targeted Impact Zones. Click HERE to view our Impact Zones. Regular grants are primarily awarded to high-capacity organizations and are generally greater than $25,000.

Quantum in the Community (QIC) Grants QIC grants are for organizations that support health by providing for basic needs such as food, housing, transportation, financial assistance, and clothing. QIC grants are awarded once a year and are $25,000 or less. To be eligible for a regular grant, your organization must meet these criteria: 1) Your day-to-day work must be focused on improving the health of people in Palm Beach County.

2) Your proposed project must match our vision and mission as well as our current strategy. 3) You must be able to measure the impact your program will have and be able to show your results.

Apply for a Regular Grant Additionally, your organization must be: 1) A nonprofit and tax-exempt under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code (IRC) and defined as a public charity under 509(a) 1, 2, or 3 (types I, II, or a functionally integrated type III) 2) An accredited school or university 3) A unit of government or a public agency — typically tax-exempt under Section 107(c)(1) or Section 511(a)(2)(B) of the IRC Quantum in the Community (QIC) Grants To be eligible for a Quantum in the Community grant, your organization must meet these criteria: 1) 501(c)(3) IRS designation 2) Annual cash expenses of $500,000 or less 3) Have been working in Palm Beach County for a minimum of six months 4) Programs and services must provide basic needs assistance to individuals and families in Palm Beach County.

Apply for a Quantum in the Community (QIC) Grant At this time, we do not fund: 2) Individual scholarships 4) Religious organizations for religious purposes 6) Operating deficits or retirement of debt 7) Political causes, candidates, organizations, or campaigns 8) Grants to 509(a)(3), type III supporting organizations that are not “functionally integrated”.
