The application will reopen on Mondays by 9:00am Pacific. RedRover Relief is closed to new applications starting Friday 5/8. It will reopen to new applications on Monday, 5/18.
" * " indicates required fields This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged. Has the animal been seen by a veterinarian for this issue in the last 30 days? * You must have a current diagnosis and treatment plan in place to apply for an Urgent Care grant.
Once your animal has been seen by a vet please come back to our website to reexamine the grant guidelines to determine whether your situation is eligible for funding. If it is, you are welcome to apply. Does the animal still need testing (x-rays, blood work, MRI, etc.)?
* Unfortunately, the Urgent Care grant program is unable to assist with the cost of office visits or testing such as x-rays, blood work, MRI. Once all diagnostic work is complete and there is a treatment plan in place, please come back to our website and reexamine the grant guidelines to determine whether your situation is eligible for funding. If it is, you are welcome to apply.
Urgent Care grants are typically $200-300. Is the amount of money needed to begin or continue treatment $1000 or more? * Due to the large number of applications we receive, we must choose situations that best meet the program goals and guidelines - those where a small Urgent Care grant (typically $200-300) will fill the gap in funding that is keeping an animal from care.
You are welcome to apply once you are closer to your funding goal. We often recommend seeking a second opinion from another veterinarian, as prices can vary significantly from clinic to clinic. You may want to try searching “low cost vet [your city, state]” to find other veterinarians near you, or use a site like Pet Help Finder .
We also encourage you to apply for help from multiple organizations, see if you qualify for Care Credit or Scratchpay, as well as reaching out to friends and family for help. Does the animal have an urgent, life-threatening injury or illness that requires care within the next 10 days?
* Urgent Care grants are intended to be used for very urgent and emergency situations that require immediate treatment, and cannot be used for basic care (such as spay/neuter, vaccination, or routine dental care). According to your veterinarian, can treatment be completed in one visit or hospital stay?
* Due to limited funding, the RedRover Relief Urgent Care program is unable to help with the cost of ongoing treatments, such as but not limited to chemo, radiation, and regular supportive care for kidney issues or diabetes. Please visit www. RedRover.
