Grant Information - TNOYS - Texas Network of Youth Services Safety Nets for Students and Families offers two types of grants. Mini-grants of up to $5000 for schools/school districts to purchase and provide basic needs supplies to homeless students and families affected by Hurricane Harvey.
(Examples include: clothing, food, hotel or transportation vouchers, supplies, etc.) The process to apply is simple and fast: Put your request on school/district letterhead and explain what you will spend the funding on (1 page approximately). Email that to SafetyNets@tnoys. org .
We will review and award these on a rolling basis until we have given out all funds. We are still accepting applications for mini grants. 2.
Capacity-building grants of up to $50,000 to support community-based organizations in meeting the needs of children, youth, and families who are still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Harvey and facing situations of homelessness. * Grant applications for capacity-building grants are NOW CLOSED. Our team is reviewing the final round of applicants and expects to make all remaining awards by the end of May.
Applicants can expect to hear from us by mid-May to learn if they were approved to complete a full application. For both grants, organizations and schools must be serving one or more of the regions identified by the Rebuild Texas Fund as being impacted by Hurricane Harvey, with the exception of Harris County. We prioritize applications where there is a collaboration between school/school district staff and community service providers.

Safety Nets for Students and Families is also offering training and technical assistance to any school or community organization serving eligible regions.
