The purpose of the SAPCS-State Program is to maintain or expand the existing services of local sexual assault programs and any other purposes consistent with Texas Government Code, Chapter 420.
Grants contracts awarded to Sexual Assault Programs may be used for the following purposes: Accompaniment to hospitals, law enforcement offices, prosecutor's offices, and courts for survivors and their family members Activities related to the prevention of sexual violence Other support services as determined by the OAG SAPCS-STATE ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS The following entities are eligible to apply under the SAPCS-State Program: Sexual Assault Program: A Sexual Assault Program must provide the following minimum services for at least nine months prior to receiving a SAPCS-State grant contract: 24-hour crisis hotline; crisis intervention; public education; advocacy; accompaniment to hospitals, law enforcement offices, prosecutor offices, and courts.
Sexual Assault Programs must meet the Minimum Service Standards for the provision of minimum services.
The purpose of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Crisis Services (SAPCS) – Preventive Health and Human Services (PHHS) Block Program is to maintain or expand the existing services of local sexual assault programs, fund activities that support the prevention of sexual violence, and any other purposes consistent with Texas Government Code, Chapter 420.
Grants contracts awarded to Sexual Assault Programs may be used for the following purposes: Accompaniment to hospitals, law enforcement offices, prosecutor's offices, and courts for survivors and their family members Activities related to the prevention of sexual violence Other support services as determined by the OAG Grant contracts awarded to State Sexual Assault Coalitions may be used for the following purposes: Technical assistance and training to PHHS Block Grant funded Sexual Assault Programs related to direct services to victims and prevention SAPCS-PHHS Block ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS The following entities are eligible to apply under the SAPCS-PHHS Block Program: State Sexual Assault Coalitions Sexual Assault Program: Any local public or private nonprofit corporation, independent of a law enforcement agency or prosecutor’s office, that is operated as an independent program or as part of a municipal, county, or state agency and that provides the following minimum services to adult survivors of stranger and non-stranger sexual assault: 24-hour crisis hotline, crisis intervention, public education, advocacy, and accompaniment to hospitals, law enforcement offices, prosecutor offices, and courts and meets the Minimum Services Standards.
Applicants must be a current SAPCS-State grantee. State Sexual Assault Coalition: A statewide nonprofit organization that has been identified as a state sexual assault coalition by a state or federal agency authorized to make that designation.
