Empire State Development is proud to support the equitable implementation of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s $10 billion State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), designated for socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDI businesses).
On-demand series of educational modules to help founders become aware of potential pitfalls that prevent their ability to get funded and provides an assessment and rating on their current fund readiness. Access a wide-range of capital funders through our matchmaking sessions based on your business needs. Funders include mission-driven VCs, CDFIs, and Alternative Lenders.
Select New York-based certified suppliers will have the opportunity to receive a $5,000 unrestricted grant to help grow their business. Program Eligibility Requirements Active or In Progress Small Business Certification Recognized minority, women, veterans, and LGBTQ+ business certifications issued by national or state organizations (MBE, WBE, DBE, DVBE, VOSB, LGBTBE, 8a, SDB, SBA etc.).
