Your application should focus on one primary challenge. If your solution spans multiple areas, select the challenge that best represents your core value proposition. What if we are unsure whether our solution fits one of the challenges?
Select the challenge that best aligns with your core solution. If you are unsure, you may contact the team for clarification. Are partnerships or joint applications allowed?
No. Applications must be submitted by a single company. My enterprise is older than 4 years. Can I apply?
Please contact the team with more background information on your business history. We operate in both Kenya and Uganda. Do we apply once or separately?
Once. Your application should reflect your primary market. If you operate across both countries, describe your operations in both but apply as a single company.
There is no separate process per country. We work on battery recycling but our feedstock currently includes non-EV batteries. Does that disqualify us?
Not automatically. What matters is whether your solution has a credible, operational pathway into the e-mobility battery stream and whether your business model works specifically within that context. If e-mobility batteries are currently a minor or theoretical part of your model, this call is probably not the right fit yet.
We are a hardware company assembling components locally. Does that count as "local production" even if some inputs are still imported? Yes.
The challenge does not require fully domestic supply chains. We are looking for companies actively reducing import dependence through local assembly, refurbishment, or component manufacturing, even if partially. Describe what you are building locally and what remains imported.
