This grant supports initiatives that promote innovative, high-impact teaching methods, especially active and experiential learning. Funds can be used to upgrade classroom and makerspace environments with flexible furniture or advanced technologies that support and foster active learning concepts.
Eligible purchases encompass, but are not limited to, 3D printers, scanners, microscopes, simulation equipment, virtual reality and mixed reality systems, as well as other instructional tools that facilitate creative exploration and directly enhance andragogical practices.
These resources are designed to support faculty in adopting interactive, hands-on teaching strategies that foster deeper learning, encourage critical thinking, and promote the development of practical skills across various academic disciplines. Funds may not be allocated for faculty stipends.
By supporting faculty in the adoption of innovative practices and technologies, the Regents affirm their commitment to cultivating transformative educational experiences and preparing Oklahoma’s graduates for success in a rapidly changing world. The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Awarded through a competitive application process, the program provides up to $3,500 to eligible local education agencies (LEAs) in Alabama. Applicants must be public school systems submitting on behalf of schools with K–12 students. The grant supports the purchase of robotics equipment and program development aligned with AMSTI guidelines. Applications are submitted online through the AMSTI Robotics Grant portal.
