The Fellowship Initiative is a program from JPMorgan Chase and Co. in partnership with Youth Guidance that supports young men of color in Chicago through a three-year leadership development program designed to help rising high school sophomores earn degrees from accredited four-year colleges or universities.

The program meets two to three Saturdays per month during the academic school year and includes parent engagement sessions. Eligible participants are young men of color enrolled in Chicago-area high schools with a strong desire to earn a college degree.

This 3-year leadership development program is designed to support rising High School sophomores in earning their degree from an accredited 4-year college or university. Our program is committed to providing these young men of color with the support necessary to achieve the academic excellence and professional success that leads to greater economic mobility.

Career and College Readiness The Fellowship Initiative exposes young men of color to career and college exploration opportunities, work readiness training and step by step support in navigating the college admissions process.
By participating in The Fellowship Initiative, young men of color have the opportunity to build a strong network with other young leaders in the program and professionals from multiple career sectors. The Fellowship Initiative provides individualized tutoring support for each fellow, SAT and ACT prep through The Princeton Review, along with academic coaching and advocacy.
Every TFI Fellow is matched 1:1 with a mentor from JP Morgan Chase and receives training in leadership, civic engagement, and financial literacy.
