Louis Our artist grant program awards 12 individual artist grants annually. The total value of these awards is $22,000. 00 USD which is divided among winning artists.
Our grants are dispersed twice annually via an open call. We award 6 individual artist grants in the Spring and 6 in the Fall. Beginning in 2025, we have increased the size of our largest grants to $4,500.
During each open call, 2 artists will receive $4,500 and 4 artists will receive $1,000. Inclusivity is one of our core values and a guiding principle of our organization. We are committed to supporting artists from diverse cultural backgrounds at all stages of their professional careers.
We view the field of visual arts in its broadest and most inclusive sense and therefore make our awards available to artists engaged in artistic practices spanning all methods of production. Our digital archiving initiative seeks to make artists' work available for future audiences. 30 artists from each award cycle (60 annually) are selected to have a their work, biographies, and links to their personal websites archived at hopperprize.
