Special Needs Aid | The People Project One of the main goals of The People Project (formerly known as Huck) is to provide direct assistance to families with children in need of therapy and devices via our Huck Helps Fund. We accept applications from families in need of financial assistance for their family member(s) with special needs.
Eligible applicants have a family member or members medically diagnosed with a disability such as autism spectrum disorder, mental health illness, victim of sexual abuse, down syndrome, fragile X syndrome, dyslexia, etc. You are welcome to apply for funds for anything that will directly improve the life of your special needs child.
Some examples of uses of the assistance include, but are not limited to: -Devices used for communication -Devices used for transportation *PLEASE NOTE THAT AT THIS TIME WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO GRANT AID TO RESIDENTS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS. WE HOPE TO GROW AND BE ABLE TO AID MORE STATES IN THE NEAR FUTURE* Proof of Service or Purchase of Goods is required.
Funds will be given directly to the vendor or service provider except in special circumstance to the family, which will require proof that the funds were used for the intended purpose with submission of valid receipts. For more information email molly@thepeopleprojecttx. org
