Translational Research Award (VRP) is sponsored by Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). This award supports translational research that aims to transform promising discoveries into new drugs, devices, or clinical practice guidelines ready for definitive testing in clinical trials.
Preliminary data is required, and pre-clinical studies, clinical research, or pilot clinical trials are allowed (full-scale clinical trials are not). A Partnering Principal Investigator option is available. Research must address at least one of the focus areas of the Vision Research Program.
