Youth Grant Opportunity is sponsored by Maryland Youth Advisory Council (MYAC). Offers grants to youth-led organizations and projects in Maryland that align with MYAC's legislative focus areas, including education equity, mental health, and social justice.

Maryland Youth Advisory Council Small Grant Project - Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention and Policy Councils, Commissions, and Workgroups Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network Reporting Requirements for Agencies Maryland Youth Advisory Council Small Grant Project For FY 2024, the Council was allocated funding from the Maryland Children’s Cabinet to provide grants to youth-led organizations and projects across the state.

This grant project will allow young people in Maryland to better their communities and support youth initiatives.

Application Requirements: Organization/project is youth-led and adult-supported Project proposal aligns with one or more of the Council’s legislative focus areas including: A Safe Learning Environment Strategies to Increase Youth Participation in Local and State Government Health Care Access and Quality of Care Substance Use and Underage Drinking Emotional and Physical Well-Being Youth Access to State/Local Services Educational Accessibility Issues for Students with Disabilities Requested funds are no more than $1,000 Completed application submission includes: Application form , budget template , and W-9 form for the organization The Council is offering virtual information sessions to help your group prepare your application and answer any questions about the submission/preparation process.

These sessions will take place on November 9, 2023 from 7:00 – 8:00pm and November 11, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00pm . Attendance at the information sessions is optional but highly encouraged. REGISTER HERE!

All applications are due Friday, January 5th, 2024 at 11:59 pm with no exceptions. Selected applicants will be notified prior to our Council meeting on January 20th, 2024 and must present their grant proposal before the Council for final selections.

All figures in the dashboard are interactive with one another, and once clicked on, will cross-filter with other measures. Selecting a filter will cross-filter across the entire dashboard. This format allows for a deeper understanding of trends by the filter selected. You can also select multiple filters for a further breakdown of data elements.

About The Handle with Care Dashboard This dashboard maps statewide and county-by-county, the number of Handle with Care notices sent to schools as well as the rate per 1,000 students. Also, the number of students affected, mental health services provided and number of participating schools.

That data can be analyzed further by month and year. Data reflected in this dashboard is collected from schools, law enforcement agencies and other public safety agencies participating in the Handle with Care initiative. What is Microsoft Power BI?
