Communication and Public Engagement Skill Building Sessions - The Kavli Foundation Funding Application Portal Communication and Public Engagement Skill Building Sessions Opens 26 Feb 2024 08:00 AM (PST) Deadline 31 Dec 2026 05:00 PM (PST) The Kavli Foundation invites applications for funding from Kavli Institutes to host sessions or workshops to build communication and public engagement skills in your Kavli Institute community.
Many Kavli Institute members, especially early career scientists, have expressed interest in attending in-person trainings or workshops at their institution. For Kavli Institutes who would like to lead and plan an in-person communications or engagement workshop or similar activity, The Kavli Foundation will consider co-funding this opportunity. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
The foundation will consider supporting no more than 50% of the cost of the workshop/activities, up to a total contribution of $15,000. The foundation is able to support up to 15% of indirect costs within this $15,000 limit. Costs can include trainer/expert fees, catering, event space or other expenses related to hosting in-person professional development sessions.
This funding opportunity is only available to Kavli Institutes, and the foundation will only be able to consider one request per Institute per year. The workshops/activities will be planned and hosted fully by the applicant, not by the foundation. Application Period: through December 31, 2026.
