What rebates are available? SVCE rebates are available for single-family homes, mobile or manufactured homes, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and multi-family homes (4 dwelling units or fewer) swapping out existing equipment, not for completely new building construction. Each dwelling unit is eligible for one rebate per appliance type.

Income-Qualified Incentives SVCE’s Home Rebates program provides increased rebates for income-qualified customers who meet specific criteria, such as enrollment in the CARE or FERA programs, another income-qualified program, or proof of qualifying income. Check the Income Qualifications and Appliance Specifications to determine your eligibility and rebate amount.
If you qualify for additional incentive amounts, click the button to apply. If your project is approved, you'll get an email confirming your rebate reservation and a link to the claim form to complete after finishing your project. After submitting your Rebate Application, you’ll receive an email from Programs@svcleanenergy.
org regarding your approval status. If approved, your rebate will be reserved for up to 120 days, but it must be approved before installing your appliance. For emergency replacements made without prior application, please contact us at Programs@svcleanenergy.
org for assistance with eligibility. Start & Complete Your Home Upgrade Contractor: Find a contractor and receive quotes automatically through our Assisted Home Upgrades pilot program, which also helps complete your rebate application and stack other incentives. You are free to use any licensed contractor of your choice and still qualify for the SVCE rebate.
DIY projects are eligible as well; just ensure they are properly permitted . Equipment: Review the SVCE Appliance Specifications to learn about the program guidelines and ensure your appliance is eligible for a rebate. Use the Appliance Marketplace to shop for efficient electric equipment or visit your own retailer of choice.

Gas meter removal: To make modifications to your gas service, please contact PG&E at 1-877-743-7782 or file an application at www. pge. com/newconstruction After completing your appliance upgrade and receiving your permit approval, You will be asked to provide photos of your newly installed equipment and proof of project costs, including itemized descriptions and costs for each wired circuit, if applicable.
You may also need to submit permit document(s) and proof of gas meter removal. After submitting the Rebate Claim, you will receive an email notification that we have received it. We will then issue the rebate and mail it to you or to your contractor, whichever is your preference.

Director of Government and Legislative Affairs Bena Chang is the Director of Government and Legislative Affairs for Silicon Valley Clean Energy, where she works on legislation and coalition building.
Prior to joining Silicon Valley Clean Energy, Bena was the Intergovernmental Relations Director for the City of San Jose, the 10th largest city in the United States. While at the City of San Jose, she engaged on and advocated for a vast variety of municipal policy issues at the regional, state and federal levels ranging from homelessness, pandemic mitigation and response, and clean energy.
Bena was also the Silicon Valley Leadership Group’s Senior Vice President of Transportation, Housing and Health. During her more than a decade at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Bena worked on many diverse projects and programs including a successful 2008 Measure B campaign that secured operations funding for BART to Silicon Valley to tours of transit-oriented development in many communities in Silicon Valley.
Bena graduated from Wellesley College with a major in English and a minor in Astronomy. Internal Operations Program Manager Sanjay works with SVCE staff to develop the annual strategic workplan and internal management systems. He does research on clean power technologies and applications.
Prior to SVCE, Sanjay worked at Intel Corporation for forty years. He was a platform execution lead for IntelR CoreTM processors where he managed a synchronized, coordinated development of new technologies on the platform including processors on the latest silicon technologies. His last project was IntelR CoreTM processor generation 10, which was a launch product on 10nm technology and with integrated USB-C and WiFi-6.
