Louisiana’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program The Louisiana Office of Energy (OoE), Department of Energy and Natural Resources announces a funding opportunity for Louisiana’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program. This program will fund efforts to increase energy efficiency and conservation for units of local governments.
Grant funds will target energy planning, energy audits, building upgrades, renewable materials and electric transportation for communities. Funding for this opportunity is available only to units of local government in Louisiana that were not allocated EECBG formula funds directly from the U.S. Department of Energy. Application Process Begins: November 1, 2024 Applications: Must be submitted to DENR_Subrecipient@la.
gov. For LDENR Grant application, please click here . Award Amount: There is no minimum or maximum, but OoE anticipates federal awards to be between $100,000 and $200,000 on average. Eligible Applicants: Local units of government in Louisiana that have not been allocated EECBG funds from the Department of Energy.

Match: Match from applicants is not required, but it will be used as a scoring criterion for proposals to demonstrate commitment and to leverage additional funding for the project. Program Objectives & Priorities: OoE uses the five pillars of electricity policy, affordability, reliability, resiliency, stability, and environmental sustainability, in the development and implementation of grant programs.
Energy efficiency supports the five pillars in multiple ways, including maintaining affordability through reducing energy consumption, increasing reliability, resiliency, and stability by reducing demands placed onto the electric grid, and providing environmental benefits. Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities (PARC) Grant Program is a grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs that funds the acquisition and development of public parkland and outdoor recreational facilities.
