SBIR/STTR is now Reauthorized As of Tuesday, April 13, 2026 the SBIR and STTR programs have been reauthorized and are now commencing. The DoW has just issued their new FY-2026 Release 1 SBIR and STTR solicitations which are now in Pre-Release (see article below). for announcement of revised solicitations.
Please monitor DSIP for the most up to date information regarding SBIR/STTR Program impacts specific to program reauthorization. Navy SBIR News & Announcements NAVY FY-2026 Release 1 SBIR Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Pre-release 4/13/26 Opens 5/6/26 Closes 6/3/26 ( 12:00pm ET ) The CSO contains one SBIR Phase I Open Topic from the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR).
Awards under this Open Topic will use Other Transaction (OT) agreements to accelerate prototyping and transition. The pre-release period is through 5 May and allows for direct communication between small businesses and Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs) to answer technical questions about the topics. The solicitations open to proposal submission on 6 May and close 3 June at 12:00 p.
m. EDT. A Topic Q&A page, available on the Defense SBIR/STTR Innovation Portal (DSIP), allows firms to post technical questions publicly for TPOC response.
