Spotlights: Documentary Grant – Art Span NOLA Spotlights: Documentary Grant 2025 Grant Recipient, SkyLane Films This grant supports filmmakers in capturing and celebrating the cultural richness and diversity of Louisiana and Mississippi. Filmmakers are invited to submit proposals for short or feature-length films that showcase the unique diversity of these two states.
Applicants must be actively documenting stories in Louisiana and/or Mississippi to be eligible for this grant. Interested individuals can submit their applications through the provided link. Grant recipients will receive a small grant annually to assist with production or post-production expenses.
In addition, they will have the opportunity to participate in a yearlong mentorship program with experienced professionals in the documentary film industry. Grant Award: Each year, one filmmaker will be selected to receive this grant, providing them with financial support to cover production and post-production costs, as well as and valuable guidance from industry experts.
This grant aims to empower filmmakers to tell compelling stories that celebrate the diverse cultures of Louisiana and Mississippi.

Jerome Early-Career Project Grants is a grant from Forecast Public Art, funded by the Jerome Foundation, that funds the creation of new public art projects by early-career artists based in Minnesota. Two grants of $8,000 each are awarded annually to support temporary or permanent public artworks anywhere in Minnesota. Projects may be supported by public or nonprofit agencies but private commissions are not eligible, and a secured project site is required at the time of application. The Local Cultural Council Program is a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council distributing $1,000 to $10,000 through a statewide network of 329 Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) representing every city and town in the Commonwealth.
