Created in 1985 by John and Jane Wold and the Wold family, the Wold Foundation exists to assist, encourage and promote charitable, scientific, literary and educational endeavors. The Foundation supports institutions and programs that promote traditional values and free enterprise and gives a preference to projects benefiting Wyoming citizens and Wyoming youth.
The Foundation supports these endeavors through grants for research or publication through cooperation with agencies and institutions already in existence, or by any other means which may seem appropriate to the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
Wold Foundation Spring Grant Cycle Grant Application Due – April 15th Wold Foundation Fall Grant Cycle Grant Application Due – October 15th Funding Decisions – December Primary Areas of Interest - Funding Priorities Has an ongoing interest in the growth and development of education, from pre-school through university, including public, independent, and private schools; Human Services Organizations and Youth Programs Believes in human-service organizations and youth programs aimed at helping people help themselves, realize their potential and lead productive lives; Will promote youth programs that help develop mental and physical well-being, develop life skills necessary for productive adulthood, and encourage self-confidence and self-reliance; Cultural and Historic Activities Continues to believe cultural activities of a community are important; Will support preservation of historic sites and buildings, giving priority to facilities used by a variety of community-based organizations; Encourages health programs preventive in nature, promote wellness and / or can demonstrate a reduction in health care costs; Scientific Endeavors, Conservation, Outdoor Recreation Encourages scientific endeavors aimed at improving the quality of life and encourage conservation and the wise use of natural resources; Views conservation and outdoor recreation as supportive of its interest in health, education, leadership training and youth services;
