Bridging Michigan Grant is a public humanities program grant from Michigan Humanities that provides Michigan nonprofits with up to $2,500 to support programming that sparks in-depth thinking and conversation around persistent community challenges.

Bridging Michigan grants provide Michigan nonprofits with up to $2,500 in support of public humanities programming that sparks in-depth thinking and conversation around persistent challenges affecting our communities. We welcome projects that aim to address and deepen understanding of social, economic, cultural and racial inequities, and other pressing challenges affecting communities across our state.
We encourage projects using a variety of public humanities formats, including reflective conversations, reading series, film screenings with discussions, web projects, walking tours, public lectures, and the creation of exhibits. Successful applicants will be notified within two weeks of receipt of the application. Following project completion, the final report form must be returned to Michigan Humanities within 30 days.
Grant recipients will receive 100-percent of the grant funds upon receipt of a signed grant agreement. Apply through the Michigan Humanities Online Grant Portal. If you are a new applicant to the Michigan Humanities you will need to create a new registration.
