Farm, Co-op, Food, or Agriculture Land Trust or Conservation Organization Municipality, Town, or Local Govt Climate Mitigation & Resiliency Land or Habitat Management & Restoration Operations & Capacity Building Outreach & Education Programs Subregion of Massachusetts National Coastal Resilience Grants National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) Climate Mitigation & Resiliency, Land or Habitat Management & Restoration Land Trust or Conservation Organization, Municipality, Town, or Local Govt, Other Non-Profit, State Agency, Tribal Private & Corporate Foundations The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation is seeking proposals for the National Coastal Resilience Fund, which supports planning, design, and implementation of nature-based solutions that enhance protection for coastal communities from storms, flooding, and other natural hazards while improving habitat for fish and wildlife.
Supports planning, design, and implementation projects, including site assessment and engineering, as well as habitat restoration such as wetlands, dunes, and living shorelines. Award amounts typically range from approximately $100,000 to $7,000,000 depending on project type, and a 1:1 non-federal match is encouraged. Pre-proposals are due March 31, 2026, with full proposals by invitation due June 24, 2026.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, state and local governments, and Tribes.
Subregion of Massachusetts Appalachian Trail Conservancy Climate Mitigation & Resiliency, Land Acquisition, Land or Habitat Management & Restoration, Operations & Capacity Building Land Trust or Conservation Organization, Municipality, Town, or Local Govt, Other Non-Profit, State Agency, Tribal Non-Profit Org (i.e., cultural council, LTA, OSI) The Wild East Action Fund supports land protection, conservation planning, and community resilience projects that accelerate conservation and resiliency across the Appalachian Trail landscape.
Eligible projects must benefit, occur within, or overlap with the A. T. landscape across the 14 Appalachian Trail states.
AllTrails Stewards Grants Land or Habitat Management & Restoration, Outreach & Education Programs Private & Corporate Foundations AllTrails’ Stewards Fund is for nonprofit organizations working to improve, maintain, rebuild, and restore trails and outdoor spaces.
Grants support projects that enhance trail access, resilience, visitor experience, and stewardship, including maintenance, restoration, and data collection efforts to improve trail systems.
Climate Stewardship Incentive Grants Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Climate Mitigation & Resiliency, Land or Habitat Management & Restoration Land Trust or Conservation Organization, Municipality, Town, or Local Govt, Other Non-Profit The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreations' Climate Stewardship Incentive Grants provide cost-share funding supporting climate-smart forest management practices aligned with the Forests as Climate Solutions framework.
Eligible practices now include Harvest Layout, Legacy Tree Retention, Tree Marking, Invasive Plant Control, Climate-Smart BMPs, Inoculate Trees at Risk of Pests, and Temporary Barriers to Animal Browse. Grants are expected to reopen in 2026; application dates, reimbursement rates, and maximum award amounts have not been announced yet. A webinar will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, 3:00–4:00 PM ET (Zoom).
