Dates and Deadlines (Spring FY 2024 A/I) Letter of Inquiry Opens September 15, 2023 Letter of Inquiry Due November 16, 2023 Invitation to Apply November 30, 2023 Application Due January 25, 2024 Award Decision April 30, 2024 Period of Performance May 1, 2024-April 30, 2025 Maximum grant award is $18,000, must be a 1:1 Cost-Share match with the amount requested from DE Humanities.
Eligibility & Requirements Read the complete Grant Requirements before applying. A Unique Entity ID (UEI) is required in order to receive funding. An organization should have this number before submitting their LOI.
The UEI can take some time to acquire, so be sure to begin the process at least one month before the LOI is due if your organization does not have one currently. A letter of inquiry (LOI) must be submitted. After the LOI is received, your organization may or may not be invited to submit a grant application.
A nonprofit organization MUST have current tax-exempt status and must be a nonprofit in good standing The most recent copy of your organization’s 990 must be submitted as part of the application Applicant organizations will first be assessed for their financial and organizational stability.
The results of the risk assessment will determine if the application will be forwarded on to the next stage, which is review by an external committee. The external committee then reviews the applications and sends their recommendations to the Delaware Humanities board for final approval. If you applied for a Spring FY 23 A/I award, the period of performance is May 1, 2023 – April 30, 2024.
If you applied for a Fall FY 24 A/I award, notifications will be sent by October 31, 2023. The period of performance is November 1, 2023 – October 31, 2024. What is an LOI?
