The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program enables local governments to undertake a wide range of activities intended to create suitable living environments, provide affordable housing, and create economic opportunities, primarily for persons of low and moderate income. One major benefit of the CDBG program is its ability to match other federal funds.
In Nevada, we maximize these resources by partnering with federal and private entities to support larger projects around the state. Closely align the CDBG program with plans and activities of the Rural Development Authorities. Approve fewer, larger grants with an emphasis on maximizing community impact.
