Google.org is accepting applications through April 17 for its $30 million Impact Challenge: AI for Science, offering grants of $500,000 to $3 million to organizations using artificial intelligence to accelerate scientific breakthroughs.
Two Focus Areas, Global Eligibility
The challenge targets two domains: health and life sciences (genomics, neuroscience, predictive biology) and climate resilience and environmental science (biodiversity modeling, agricultural systems, ocean science). Eligible applicants include nonprofits, social enterprises, academic institutions, and research organizations worldwide.

Funding is only part of the package. Selected organizations may participate in a Google.org Accelerator that includes six months of dedicated pro bono technical support from Google engineers and access to Google Cloud credits. Applications are reviewed by Google.org staff, Google subject matter experts, and external specialists from Renaissance Philanthropy and the Centre for Public Impact.
