Built shelves in 8 X 20 storage container at Fire Station so that it could become useable space for storage. All materials and labor was donated so there was no actual expense. Two businesses provided materials and 2 members were involved in the construction.
Hosted a community Firemen's Breakfast so that the community could meet the firefighters and see the equipment. Since it was at the end of our FY we claimed the money raised on this return but the bills were paid in the new FY and will show up in next year's returns. Great turn out for first year. Most of the firemen attended as a couple hundred local citizens.
Provided meals for the Fire Department when they had special training sessions. All food was donated by individuals so again we had no expense to the organization. Chief said it really improved morale as they saw the community support.
