The program is unique because it doesn’t just focus on business ideas.

Instead, it focuses on helping people become great Founders and Leaders, holistically, so they can make any idea successful. Participants will learn EQ skills, habits, and processes to become effective, happy, and healthy business owners. The program is based on collaborative learning, which is the educational approach of using groups to enhance learning through working together.

Small business owners 3. Early stage startups who have completed upfront work to build hypotheses on how the business will operate and/or have already tested parts of the idea. While the applicant must be an active 1909 Resident, Dedicated Desk, or Private Office Member, the course is provided at no additional cost.

A membership of $150 a month minimum is required Additional Information Application Process 1. All applications are reviewed and scored by the panel which includes facilitators, board members and mentors. 2.

The top scoring applicants will be invited to interview with the program leadership team. 3. Finalists will be asked to attend a special session at 1909 to go over and accept the course requirements Important Reporting Requirements (If Specified) Not Specified Miscellaneous Notes The commitment: Classes: Every cycle will have a class (in-person or virtual), that will require your participation, to go over and discuss the cycle’s topic.

The classes are collaborative and will include group exercises and breakout sessions. Homework: Every cycle will have homework that will need to be completed before the next cycle. Presentations: Each participant will present their progress at the end of each cycle.

Co-Labs: Every participant is expected to participate in CO-LAB; as a team lead or a volunteer. Co-Lab is a hackathon style event that occurs twice throughout the program. Participants have an opportunity to earn (as part of a gamification system) a spot as a team lead during CO-LAB.

Team leads get, on average, $15,000 worth of work completed for their businesses during these intense but fun events.
