Funding Details: California Bachelor of Science Nursing Scholarship Program - Rural Health Information Hub California Bachelor of Science Nursing Scholarship Program California Department of Health Care Access and Information The Bachelor of Science Nursing Scholarship Program will award scholarships for California residents who are enrolled in a bachelor of science in nursing program in exchange for working in a Medically Underserved Area of California upon graduation.
Applicants currently accepted or enrolled in a bachelor degree nursing program leading to licensure as a registered nurse are eligible. Eligibility requirements: Begin class or training program by October 1, 2026 Be enrolled in a minimum of six semester units, or its equivalent, until program completion Have a GPA of 2. 0 or higher for most recent academic performance or equivalent Maintain a GPA of 2.
0 or higher until program Must graduate after March 31, 2027 Not have any other existing service obligations with Not be in breach of any other HCAI service obligation Commit to a one year service obligation providing at least 32 hours per week of direct patient care in an underserved area or qualifying facility starting within 6 California nursing school Nonprofit medical facility Primary Care Shortage Area (PCSA) County-operated health facility Registered Nursing Shortage Area (RNSA) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)/FQHC Health Professional Shortage Area – Mental Health State-operated health facility Health Professional Shortage Area – Primary Care Medically Underserved Area (MUA) Native American Health Center Up to $10,000 in return for 1 year of service.
